BCM 50 R3 upgrade?

One of the responses to my post on the nortel.com forums about integrating a BCM 50 R3 system with Microsoft Exchange 2007 Unified communications implied it may not be possible yet but that the next release of BCM 50 software will allow that.

The poster spoek about BCM 400 R5 and suggested that BCM 50 will go from R3 to R5 too? Does anyone know if that is the case? And also when the next release is due and what's in it?

R5 is in beta testing right now and probably will be released in the fall. Also a patch may be forthcoming to make currecnt releases of BCM work with Exchange 2007. I really dislike 2007 anyway and wish we could roll our Exchange back to our old version.

Is R5 the version for BCM 50 too or just the 450's?

R5 should be for both bcm50 and 450.
