I've got a BCM 400 at the main site for CVM. I have BCM 50 R2 at remote. Mcdn is on both sides, voicemail answers, but light is not lighting on set at remote.
I had a network of Fire Stations, all were using BCM 200 3.7, using H323 trunking. Under Business Name, I had "Station 5". I named the sets like "Captain". Whenever calling from one set across network to set at another station. The display would say, Station 5 Captain. So, I know it works.
There's not that many settings. You need Business name filled in, and MCDN keycodes. I think that's it.
In the remote site you need to set the Voice message number to be the main VM DN. usualy center 1 I think that is what is assigned to the sets. That will light the msg indicator.
What the hell does my post have to do with this thread. I think I hit next thread some times by accident and start typing what should have been on an earlier post.
Anyway, in a weak attempt to redeem myself, cook is right, but I doubt you'll have to be concerened with belairs. It's default Vmail msg center 1 on all lines. You just need to tell the remote sites that the Vmail msg center 1 is the main site Vmail Pilot DN.
On the remote Site,
go to Term & Sets
then go to Telco Feats
then Feat Assign
then Show Line
Show the Target line for the set and turn on External Message Allowed.
Oh and make sure the mailbox is cleared out before you test. Because if there is messages in the box that you have not listened to if I remember I think the system thinks the light is already active and may not try to light it. Not sure though..
