Hi all,

I have recently taken control of works BCM50 and know very little about it, I have been asked if it is possible for the phones to go straight to a single voicemail message after midnight and resume normal opperations at 6am?

I see there are night mode options in element manager but my fear of rendering the works phones useless has so far prevented my from touching anything...cowardly i know.

The painfull Truth

I have read the posts in this forum and am at a complete loss, I don't know what DN's mean (extensions?), i have no idea how to find the 'Target Line that was assaigned to the BTN', i don't know how to locate my VoiceMail DN and don't dare implement step 1 from another post;

1) Under Telephony/ Ring Groups/Group Membership-Group 001(default), remove the default sets (if you leave them, they will ring kind of like a broadcast hunt group. MAKE SURE the only DN(s) in Group 001 are the sets you want to ring when a call comes in on the main Target Line during NORMAL Business Hours.

it's that bad

Questions

1. Is this possible and if so how would a BCM novice go about it without disturbing any of the normal settings?
2. How do i record the message?
3. is this an automatic function?

Any help is greatly appreciated and i'll be happy to call anyone to step by stem me through it.

Thanks for hearing me out

Kind regards

Sam

It sounds like your best bet is going to be to find a local vendor. Pay them to make the changes and watch over their shoulder if you ask they may even walk you through it as their doing it.

If you decide to do this yourself you'll probably need to set up two schedules as a schedule should not be carried over to the next day. Create one schedule from close to midnight and another from midnight to opening.
