I have a BCM 50 that I have logged into before using Supervisor and xxxxxxx! but last night I used the same cable and the BCM just sat there and did nothing, I spent 2 hours and used all 3 logins! Any idea's? 3.7 software and it says in progress and at the bottom logging into unified business manager? I cannot do anything from a phone including unlock a mailbox! HELP!

First of all, do you have a BCM 50 phone system?. I don't think you do as the software levels were different and not 3.7 as you have stated. My guess is thatyou have a BCM 200,400 or the very old 1000 model that ran on Windows NT.

It's common for those systems to lock up and deny you access. The supervisor login level was used on the Windows NT software versions. You could try and login via the serial port that is a 9 way RS232 connector that is hidden behind the grey cover that is to the left of the LAN ports and it will probably mean that you have to power off the BCM to expose the two screws holding the plastic cover.

You may have no choice but to power off the system and perhaps check inside it that all the connectores are clean and secure before powering it up again. I hope you have a recent backup.

It's also worthwhile using an old computer such as XP to connect as these systems require an old version of Java.

Good luck.

I would ping the IP address and see if you get a response then do a reboot. Then go from there.
