I have a client that has a BCM 50. They want the IP phone to Ring first, then after 3 rings it rings the 2 7316's, and if they can answer, it goes to the CCR Tree. If the person with the 2004 is off, they want the 7316's to ring first (she usually puts her phone on DND when she is gone).

I have setup the 2004 to ring. I set the phone to ring on busy to one of the 7316's and have a Answer DN on the other 7316 for the first one.

This is not working well. Is there an easier way to setup this like a ringing group or something.

Thanks for the help.

Hunt groups, put the 2 7316's in a hunt group, have the 2004 FNA to the hunt group DN.

Wouldn't that elmiminate the CCR backup, since the HG answered?

im not sure, I would have to test it. It seems like if you dont assign the line to the hunt group, just the 2 sets that iw would still count the ringing in auto attedant. But you could be right.

Here is how they want to set it up.

First the 2004 ring, 3 rings (or if Busy), then ring the 7316's. If no one is at the desks of the 7316's (not manned all the time), then they want to put their phones on DND and then it goes to the AA. 2 days a week the person with the 2004 is not working, so she would put HER phone on DND and then again, it would ring the 7316's. If after 5, they put ALL phones on DND and the AA answers.

Is there other commands to make that happen? It seems right now when they are all on DND, the general VM Box picks up. Not the AA greeting.

I am going to play with the hunt groups and see what I can find out on that end.

Here is how I would set it up.

Program the 2004 for ringing and forward Busy to either a hunt group or your answer DN Setup.

When no one at the 2004 Call Forward it to the 7316.

In Auto Attendant setup have the line or lines answer after your desired amount of rings.

Make sure that none of these sets have any forwarding to voicemail otherwise callers will go to mailboxes rather than AA. Also, just to be on the safe side make sure that transfer recall in phone system programming is set to a higher number than that of the line answer in AA set up.

Hope this helps

Perfect!! That worked.

They also have external voicemail when all lines are BUSY, Verizon VM answers.

I setup the ext vm number in telco features, VM Center. I also went to Terminal & sets, each set, Telco Features, Feature Assign, each line and put EXT VM set to "Y". And the last thing, is each line, Telco Freature, VM Center "1".

When I leave a message on the Verizon VM, it will do the stutter dial tone, but will not activate any light or message indication on the phones. I know in the past I have programmed this and it worked. Could the Codes that it displays (MWI:AN*1# and MWC:AN*0#) not be correct?

Thanks - Barney
