Morning All,
I have a BCM 50 R6. Incoming calls ring to a Broadcast Hunt Group. If a Hunt Group member is on a call, their phone should NOT ring when a second call comes into the Hunt Group.
Here lies the problem, the busy Hunt Group member DOES ring when a second call comes in. This should be fairly straight forward but I must be missing something somewhere.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

All extensions in the Hunt Group act the same. If the user is on a call and another comes into the hunt group, all users ring regardless if they are on a call or idle.

Correct me if I am wrong norstarboy but Broadcast should simultaneously ring each non-busy extension in the hunt group. My users are ringing even when they are on a hunt group call, which is distracting them. I had a nice ACD scenario setup but they were not disciplined enough to answer the phone, stay logged in, etc., etc.

As far as I know it rings all sets in the HG regardless if they are busy or not. Hunt Groups ignore Capabilities setting like Forward Busy or No Answer.
A fix might be to give only 1 Intercom key and make the HG "Ring Only"?.

Thanks for the reply Curly. I had thought about removing one of the ICM keys but I feel that would lead to other issues.
The HG does override station programming, however the description of Broadcast HG from the manual:

Broadcast—simultaneously rings at each non-busy telephone in the hunt group. Only one call can be presented to a hunt group at a time.
Other calls are queued until the first call is answered. Then the next call rings on the remaining non-busy telephones.

Here lies my confusion, the idle phones in the HG should not be ringing from the above description and yet they are.

A broadcast hunt group does not ring if the member phone is busy. That's one of the main problems. You can't use hunt groups if you want to have say 2 operators. Do you have line appearance keys on the phone as well?
