i Need help. I just received a new BCM50 with a DMC080 and am looking for a way to reset the access back to factory settings... DMC080 it is the digital mobility Controller that is requiring a username and password... i do not have it... how can i reset it?

I opened the box and even tried resetting the little pin but not working... Anyone know the default settings? Thank you

I am plugged directly in the DMC console.. it is that, that is prompting me for the login. If the BCM50 does not work we have a bcm 400... we are simply trying to determine just that

Rrrr. this is frustrating... even nortel cannot answer my question.. I have the digital mobility chasis and thats about all I can do because I cannot configure it..
Can someone please help me reset the access to the DMC080 back to factory settings?

Thank you

I don't believe that the Business Communications Manager Model 50 will support the Digital Mobility Controller until revision 2.0 comes out.

I would recommend contacting your channel partner and request that they verify this for you.

To recover from setting a bad password:

1 - Remove the chassis from the DMC
2 - Place the jumper which is located next to the CPU, near the edge of the printed circuit board.
3 - Press the reset button next to the jumper
4 - Open hyperterminal and choose your Com port, and then define port settings:

Bits per second = 115200
Data bits = 8
Parity = None
Stop bits = 1
Flow control = Hardware

5 - Click OK
6 - Press ENTER
7 - Type J and then press ENTER
8 - Remove the above mentioned jumper
9 - Press the reset button

The password is now reset to 'default'

10 - pop it back into the chassis and fire it up

Good Luck!
