I am in the process of installing a BCM 50 to replace a talk switch. The talk switch used extensions to transfer to external numbers (cell phones and 800 numbers of other remote offices). Can I set up extensions without extra phones that can transfer calls off site. I am using an AA at night and receptionist during the day.
I am also having a hard time accessing the BCM programming via PC. I have a CICS and MICS backround so all programming is through the phone.
Does anyone have a simple or non-simple solution to get the BCM 50 to do off site transfers using an extension.
Thanks,
Wirednet

Build a destination code that matches the length of your extensions (3 or 4 digits). Point that destination code to a route that deletes/inserts the appropriate digits. Enable redirect on the phones, and you can then transfer to a "extension" that dials a off site number.

I am trying to access through IP. I tried to opened port 80 on the lynksys router to the BCM, but it isn't letting me connect yet. I may need to get more help from the IT tech.
The destination codes and routes work great. The first routes that I could find that work are 451-454 hopefully there are no conflicts.
Thanks,

Open 5989 as well - that's what's used for Element Manager.
