BCM 50 expansion cabinet distance

Hi,

This is a qeustion around a BCM 50 runnign Rel 6.0 software. An expansion chassis is needed on this system to accommodate a DSM16+ module.

Could this be installed some distance from the main chassis via a longer CAT 6 interconnect cable?

All those I have seen so far have a short cable with the expansion chassis right next to the main system. However if possible we need to locate an exansion chasiss abotu 20m from the main system.

Specs say 10 meters cat 5e shielded.

I agree...also, each digital station has a wiring range of about 1000-1500 feet, traditionally.
