I have a BCM with a DTM in its expansion module. It is set to PRI, and to the carriers specs. When I had them attempt to turn up the PRI, the DTM came up with a minor framing error. OK fine. I rewired the jack, and no matter how much I tried I could not get the circuit to come up I did get a varitey of error lights on the card.

Here is the kicker. I plugged in a loopback plug directly to the DTM, AND IT STILL REPORTED A ERROR (the major "I dont see anything" error). I changed the patch cord and got the same result. I rebooted the BCM and reseated the MBM with the power off, with no result. I am guessing bad DTM card, but maybe the expansion module could be the issue? Please advise.

what happens if u change the slot? ...change buses? ...move it to the main cabinet? Are the dipswitches correct?

Dip switches should be default, the expansion cabinet gives you your bus address. If you can't get it to come up with a loopback, most likely bad DTM.

It is always good to check the dip switches anyway. I have had some that our corporate sent us that the dip switches were not default and the DTI would not come up.

Als, do you have the expansion cabinet keycode entered?

Deweyhumbolt wins this one...I took another DTM with me and sure enough it came right up. Nortel has some good ideas, but man their QC is utter crap,
