Hi,

I'm in the middle of configuring a BCM 50 to talk to a Shoretel system over SIP trunks. The Shortel system can dial a BCM 50 ext, it rings but doesn't detect the pickup, it does however detect the hang up. The BCM 50 ext's can not dial any Shoretel ext's (no route to dest).

Any ideas, what info do you need to help?

Thanks, Matt

SIP is not fully implemented on Nortel yet !!!!

madwork,

SIP doesn't have a standard, it's not because Nortel hasn't fully implemented it. So therefore SIP is different for every vendor at the moment. SIP trunking works fine with Nortel to Nortel but as soon as you bring in another vendor that doesn't use the same SIP code as Nortel you will run into issues as described. This is the case for all vendors at the moment not just Nortel.
