I have the same problem on a new 'out of the box' BCM50. I have configured as per instructions but the status of the MDM is Enabling... not moving onto Enable. Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Thanks

Rob

Dip switches on the module are all in the default positions (on)? Expansion cabinet keycodes are present? Expansion cabinet is plugged into the correct port?

Mostly its about the DIP Settings.. Make sure all are set to "on"... also check that u are using the "right" port for & on expansion cab ... keycodes missing!? Whats the status of the led on MBM?

OK. ALL DIP Switch settings are ON. I am using Port 2 for the Expansion Cabinet. Keycodes have been installed and show 1 Expansion Cabinet allowed. Status LED's are both Green. I have a live ISDN cable plugged into Loop 1 but no green light appears. Meanwhile, the Internal Trunks, Internal Sets & Expansion CAB are all on "Enabling" (I have set the Expansion CAB to BRIM and enabled it and provisioned Loop1 and both lines.

What port did u use on the expansion module? did u try "hotplugging"? Sometimes its needed to do that without enable/disable.... did u try to change it to Loop and back to BRIM or something like that?

I used the + port on the expansion module. I have tried "Hotplugging" and tried changing it to loop and back to Brim... still no joy :(

When in doubt, try a cold start of the system. That might wake it up.

Tried several cold starts...even did a level 2 reset!
