Setting up monthly back up on BCM50 to USB drive

The box to check off date stamp yes or no. you want this off correct so the back up over writes itself each time and the USB will not fill up ???

Just confirming...

date stamp is so you know when the backup was taken

It might be wise to set the BCM to backup via your network to a Network drive or FTP Server and then you can remove old backups. Generally speaking, these backup files, assuming that no changes are made to the phone systems programming only increase in file size due to the call logging files for each day.

It's handy to be able to use e.g. WinRar to extract them and view what calls were made on a particular day.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
