I have a BCM-50 that I am trying to tie to a 3COM IP phone system with a point to point T-1. It can not reconize dnis digits between the two. If I call one from the other and the voice mail answers I can call to an extension. but if I try to call direct it does not see dnis either way.

I can't speak for the 3Com side, but here are some questions for the BCM side.

What type of T-1? DTI/E&M wink I'm guessing?

Do you have target lines built on the BCM 50? If its an E&M circuit, do you have the lines set to auto answer.

Yes it is a DTI/EM. I have tried auto answer and without auto answer. It works partially without. It acts like it cannot read the dnis digits from the the 3COM. The 3 com can call into the BCM and it will ring until the AA answers then you can dial the proper extension.

Are you using ringing service on the BCM? If you are make sure the target lines are not set to ring to the AA. Check to see if the target lines are assigned to the sets.
