BCM 50 Analog lines 1

Our analog line will not ring into the bcm 50 nor will it allow any calls going outbound. Any thoughts on where I should begin looking for the cause?

Hi there.

The first thing I would do is check the lines themselves before they go into the switch. I know this sounds silly but breaking down the problem is a start. I have had, for some UNKNOWN reason, lines that had DTM (Deny Terminating) or DOR (Deny Originating) right on the Central Office switch!!

After that, where are the lines terminating? Is the BCM set up as a square system? That is, the telephone lines showing up on all the phones? If not, make a line appear on a phone as a line itself (appear and ring) and see if you can call out from there.

unless you have a butt set you are going to have to call someone lol

start with the phone company see if they know of the problem

if not get someone out there to test the lines
 
if you suspect a bcm issue then reboot the bcm50.

After about 18 months they need a reboot.
I have had similar issue with no calls in or out.

as mentioned above prove your lines first..can you get dial tone from the service provider
 
I guess first thing first...
Is this a new install? (Licensing issue)
Have the analog lines worked previously?
Have you made any changes to the programming, are all the lines set to A/R (Appear and Ring)on all sets?
Maybe the analog line is dead from the CO; if you cannot call out or receive calls, or the circuit died on the BCM, see if you can swap lines and see if it rings on another line.

More information you give, the easier it is to troubleshoot.
