Installing Reporting for Contact Center for a BCM 50 release 3.0.

I get errors running the RCC Installation Verification Utility. Passes the SQL, DB, Java, .Net, Ports, IIS. When I get to the Report Service button, it checks, Verify Report Server, say OK, and says Report Folder not found. I click on the "Click here to resolve"

The Program then tells me to put in the IP of the BCM, port 8088, then the CCRS password.

I put it in, the BCM button checks fine, it receives historical data and realtime data, but still fails Report Service.

The error it now gives me is that "The System cannot find the path specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070003)"

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

yup... Good o'le Dallas, TX.

I actually never seen it before either until this release of BCM 3.0 Contact Center Reporting. Look in the 3.0 Contact Center Reporting doc, and you're more then likely see what I am talking about.

Sorry forgot to add... the tool is called RCC IVU (Install Verification Utility)

Thanks for the info!!!
I haven't installed RCC for a 50r3.0 yet.
It's been completely redesigned.
No more App Server.
No more MySQL.

The doc doesn't give much info on the error you're having though. It really doesn't seem to go past the Print Caller.
Nothing in the troubleshooting guide either.
I think the first point of action would be to determine what Report Service is and what it does.

Threw me a curveball. Totally redesigned, but looks like still same thing as the first release... figure it out on your own from Nortel kinda stuff... The one thing I can not figure out is it passes the Report Service, but it says can not locate the path... I am like what path? Should it not be installed?

I found this on Nortel's site.
It appears that the Report Service is part of the SQL.

Problem Description
Reporting for Contact Center (RCC) version 2.5.x.x.x

You can attempt to run any report, select the appropriate skillsets and agents, however instead of seeing the report in a new window, the new window shows:

Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed
Problem Resolution
This issue is possibly a result of uninstalling .NET framework 2.0 with SP1 (please refer to solution 6522927: "Reporting for Contact Center (RCC): The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b)" for full details).

1. Go to Start->All programs->Microsoft SQL Server 2005->Configuration Tools->Reporting Services Configuration.

2. Select Connect.

3. Select "Report Server Virtual Directory".

4. Change "Apply Default Settings" so it is checked.

5. Then click Apply.

6. Select Exit to exit the application.

7. After this, run the Install Verification Utility (IVU) from the desktop.

In the UK for BCM50 R2 and R3, I believe you have to input the IP address of the RCC server and not the BCM.

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

Well finally got around to working on it again. Here's the update.

I tried what you recommended SupportDude, and I got an error of. "Apply Default Virtual Directory Settings For Report Server"

Error

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005)
at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ThrowExceptionForHRInternal(Int32 errorCode, IntPtr errorInfo)
at System.Management.ManagementObject.InvokeMethod(String methodName, ManagementBaseObject inParameters, InvokeMethodOptions options)
at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.ResetVirtualDirectoryMappings()

I go back to the IVU utility, and select the Report Service Button.

Checking...
Verifying Report Server...
Report Server - OK
Reports Folder not found
Click here to resolve the problem
Initializing directory configuration...
The system cannot find the path specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070003)

I looked up the 0x80070003 and it comes up as errors for Microsoft.net folders. I tried deleting those folder and renaming directories as MS suggested.

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Maybe its time to open a case with Nortel.

I was working an RCC issue on 50r2.0 that had the latest patches applied the other day, so it required an uninstall/install of the app server and RCC.
It appears this has changed as well.

During installation of the app server, SQL Express loads up, but no Verification Utility.
When I test the app server, port 2222 will not connect.
Netstat -a shows the port is not listening.
Nothing is blocking the port.

We're going to try another PC and if that doesn't work I'll be calling India pleading to speak with somebody in Canada!!

In some ways something like what you did happened to me.. i attempted an uninstall and reinstall of the CC reporting software, and the second time around it did not install reporting service, and something else. It failed more tests then my first install.

I had to restore the PC from a previous state to get to my error again.

I will let you know the status. I am requesting the PC be sent back to me for a clean OS installation.

thanks.

Update... Finally got remote access to work again, and now it works.

Here is what I did.

1. Reformat the PC using XP Pro with all updates.
2. Did not install Microsoft.Net, Java, Virus Scanners.
3. I installed CCleaner (free download) to clean up cookies, IE cache, prefetch, temporary files, etc.
4. Installed IIS
5. Did a windows update.
6. Went into IIS services, made sure IP addess was set to "All Unassigned" port 80.
7. Downloaded and installed Reporting for Contact Center.
8. It installed, told to reboot.
9. IVU asked for IP address for BCM and password.
10. IVU Passed.

Thanks for everyone that helped. I hope this helps anyone.

Great info NTL555!

RCC can be really annoying, especially when the fix involves a complete reimage on the server PC.

My issue was resolved by using another PC.
I'm sure a reimage on the original PC would have worked as well. [shadeshappy]
