Hello BCM gurus,

Is it possible to monitor a voice mail message that is being left in a mailbox. Also can you break in and pick up the call once someone is in a mailbox.

Also, does the latest version of BCM 50 3.0 offer cell phone cloning where the call will ring the DN (extension)and the cell phone at the same time?

Use F987 (Interrupt) to grab a caller that has gone to your vmail box.

Wow- thanks curly cord you are d'man. That is I great idea

Cloning or "follow-me" feature as other vendor call it is not supported. That's one feature Nortel should put on the drawing board as many others offer it now.
Curly- not sure your suggestion will work, i guess as soon as you as you set external forward to cell on the second set,the first set will stop ringing.

Just read this on a Nortel Bulletin, I haven't got any 450's out there yet, so won't have the chance to try it out, but looks like they are working on it. Hopefully it will go through for the R4.0 and 50's too.

BCM450.R100.FMFM-VT-68 NEW THIS WEEK
----------------------------------------------
This update introduces the following feature to the BCM450 R1 Platform:
1. FindMe/FollowMe
FindMe/FollowMe allows simultaneous ringing of up to five different
external destinations. Users and administrators can configure these
destination numbers. FindMe/FollowMe can be configured based on the time
and day by configuring schedules. Using FindMe/FollowMe, the call can be
picked up at the primary extension (desk phone for example) or at one of
the five external destinations, such as a cell phone, home phone, or another

phone. When the call is answered at one location the alerting will be stopped
at other destinations. By doing this, the FindMe/FollowMe feature reduces the
chance of missed calls. The user can then transfer the answered call back
and forth between the desk phone and the device that first picked up by entering
a feature code on the deskphone. This feature is sometimes referred to in the
literature as 'Simring' or 'Fixed Mobile Convergence'.
The FindMe/FollowMe feature can be enabled via keycodes and up to a maximum of
300 users can have this feature enabled. FindMe/FollowMe utilizes an internal
Resource called Virtual Terminals as well as Conference resources and trunks.
A Maximum of 32 Virtual Terminal resources are available to support
simultaneous user access to the FindMe/FollowMe feature.
The FindMe/FollowMe solution on BCM is integrated with existing BCM features
and does not require additional hardware. It maybe necessary to purchase a CEC
card and/or additional trunks to support the extra call capacity this feature can
generate. A good rule to follow would be to include the equivalent of 2 IP trunks
for every simultaneous FindMe/FollowMe calls and 3 conference resources for every
simultaneous FindMe/FollowMe calls. That would indicate if a CEC is required when
taking into account the existing number of IP devices used and conference ports
used. For additional trunks, a good rule of thumb would be to have 2 trunks for
every simultaneous FindMe/FollowMe calls.
Note that FindMe/FollowMe user interface is available in English only at this
time. Other languages will be supported in the BCM5.0 release.

I haven't seen the feature list for the BCM 5.0 to be released later this year but I expect find me - follow me to be included on it.
