Good Afternoon

BCM 50 with 1140 and 1210 ip sets installed recently.

The LED indicator on the 1210 sets isn't lighting to indicate a voicemail message. Can anyone point me in the right direction to enable this?

Would there be an alternative method for notifying users of a voicemail message - either via teh handset or through email?

you can set up unified messaging with voicemail to email

besides that i believe they would just have to periodically check

I have a BCM50 RLS 6.0 and my MWI lights up on a 1220 and 1210 when connected to Call Pilot....try rebooting the system. It also lights up when I get incoming calls or the page tone comes over the speaker. The 1210 is essentially the newer generation of the i2001 and the i2002 for the 1220.

Go into the voicemail system and look at the mailbox for that extension and make sure the correct extension number is set for mwi for that box and that the mwi box is checked.

Thansk for the advice.

The configuration looks to be okay - will try a reboot when next on-site.

Fix for bcm50 release 6

Software update BCM050.R600.VOICEMAIL-62
----------------------------------------
1. The Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)does not display intermittently
This improper behavior is caused due to delay in execution of semaphore
requests issued by voicemail to kernel. This update will correct the issue.
