I have upgraded a BCM 50 1.0 to 3.0. I am getting messages that I need to load the R3 image. How do I do that?

You have to get it from the Nortel/Avaya website. It's a replacement for the R1 factory image you currently have on the BCM's hard drive.
It's required in case you ever do a level 2 reset on the system. If you leave it the way it is and do that reset, the system would come back as a Release 1.0 instead of 3.0
You apply in the same way as any other patch and it does not cause a reboot.
