BCM 450 with 3 PRI's and extra PEC cards? 2

Anyone know the story what is required as far as PEC cards when 3 PRI's installed?.

I Dont think there is PEC in the 450 as there is NO MSC CARD.

As far as i Know You will Need a CEC card to allow for the extra resources if you go beyond 2 PRI cards.

Snowman50 is right.

The CEC(Capacity Expansion Card) will increase max. stations from 100 to 300 and max. digital trunks from 48 to 130, among other things.

I cant find much info on this card, Im looking for the "the other things".

I do have a 450 non redundant with a redundant expansion cabinet....all we had for a rush install and we have 3 PRI's.

PRI 75 alarms, some sets lose their DN at times.
The system lost all tel programming somehow and we had to restore from backup.
The 3rd PRI is never used, it's more of a backup for this call center.

I am just wondering if the redundant exp cabinet and/or not having this CEC card is causing any issues.

Take a look at this brochure. Page 8 has the capacity limits with and without the CEC.

I would imagine not having a CEC might cause the Alarm 75 with 3 DTM's installed.

But the other issues are troublesome. A lack a resources shouldn't cause programming loss.

I just now need to figure it if we realy need this card or not as it is expensive, they are not using the 3rd PRI but because the system is programmed and the hardware is there it might be intereferring, or we need to put a hit out on the sales rep.
