Good Day Gents,

I have a customer with a BCM 450 looking to add a softphone on a windows 7 PC, I seem to remember having issues doing this in the past and I can't find any documentation. Does anyone know exactly what I would need to make this happen.

I believe I will just need the 2050 softphone but I'm not sure it will work on windows 7.

you will need and ip license and license for the i2050 also.

Ok, so does the BCM 450 have the Licensing server built in by default or is this something I need to set up on the customers server. If it's the later than what do i need to buy in terms of licenses to make this work?

I have a Windows 7 32 bit pc with the 2050 version 2 software installed that works fine on a BCM 50 at release 2.0. This release of 2050 doesn't require any server keycodes.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

If you want the new Version 4 Softphone you do not need a license server. You can opt for node lock license. The softphone node lock license will be locked to the Mac Address of the PC or Laptop its loaded on.
