I have a BCM450 5.0 with RCC on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Svc pack 2 that was installed this past January. I was looking at the recent PEPs and was going to update them. When reading the requirements for the "BCM450.R500.SU.Desktop-001-201007" It sounds like I have to remove the RCC program from the server and re-install it. Is this correct? Has anybody performed this?
Thanks,

Can the server configuration be backed up and reloaded or would it have to be rekeyed manually after the re-install. Also if the Reporting server has to be re-installed is the past call records in the Server going to be lost or can they be backed up and reloaded? I am still a little confused on where the call records of the agents activity stored. For example if the Reporting Server went completely dead and the complete server had to be replaced, could the agents activity be downloaded from the BCM450? I want to know what I can do now to be able to run like a agent summary report for the month prior to the Reporting server crashing.
Thanks for any help!!!

You just need to uninstall the RCC application and not the SQL database, so you won't lose any configs or call records. It is recommended that you back up the database anyway. To be honest, I never do. The call records reside on the BCM, so even if things go wrong (it happened to me once in about 100 tries) and you completely have to redo everything, you're not losing call records. You will have to setup the wallboards, and alarms again though.

Many thanks. I guess when I perform a full backup on the BCM450 that the call records will be saved in that backup.
Thanks again!!!
