I have a 450 r5 w-1-exp/ 1-48 ip/1-96-v/m keycodes but when i went to add an 8-port ip license file it won't load off my manager off site. I called Chuck at KRS/Avaya but he also had no success, I have loaded dozens of files with no issues before but this one has me stumped. Error code is "invalid keycode file". Chuck at Avaya still shows Avaya keycode support to 2018. Avaya tech Rick verified expansion software version with me...all test OK. KRS shows upgrade went smooth...
Could a patch update fix load?

Have you also tried to add in a try N buy extra licence since the last keycode was generated in case there is a flaw. You can select any extra feature such as DPNSS etc to see if your original 8 port IP licence is accepted.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

The keycode file does not match your system ID, does not match your software release or is bad (incomplete, modified). Maybe they generated a release 6 license file for you (or something like that). You can check the first two items easily by opening the file in a text editor and looking at these tags
<systemid>this should be the system ID of your BCM</systemid>
<softwareversion>this should be your BCM type and software release</softwareversion>

Also, the sequence number (the <sequence>x</sequence> tag) in the new file must be higher than the sequence number of the currently installed keycode file (you can see that one on the EM's Keycodes page).

does not match your software release"
Yes there was some codes labelled Rls 5 and meant for Rls 6 or vice versa.
KRS tech should open a ticket for that.

Also..
-Make sure system is patched to latest
-Make sure Element Manager is up to date
-Reboot system
-Try entering the key code manually instead of uploading LIC file
