I'm seeing a problem with our BCM450 with 3 PRI DTMs. It keeps posting an error about digital trunking clock in free run. I never get any loss of frame or dropped calls. The DTMs are clocked Primary External, Secondary External, and the third is Internal. Generally this would be a problem with the CO, but they say everything is good on their side. I am starting to think that the BCM cant really handle 3 DTMs without showing this error. Has anyone else come across this problem? Thanks.

Check out the error meessage and find out which one it's referring with. Perhaps you can change the order in which it's current set to make it clock off a different bearer?.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Is this a daily problem or does it clear up and then return periodically? I had a 400 that did that and had to change the backplane to fix it. It could also have been the power supply as I changed that as well.

We use to get this with bcm50 rel1 in the early days
clocking errors alarm 75 and card in free run every 30 seconds..

Warm telephony reset seem to cure it.

Reboots didn't work.

Dont ask me why but the warm reset worked.

Try making the second & third DTMs clock internally. Not a fix, just a possibility
