I have a BCM 450 that I scheduled to do a backup to the USB drive on the BCM. I get a alarm 12032. I also tried to do a immediate backup to it and get the error "USB Drive Mount Failed" with alarm 12032. (with or without USB device plugged in I get the same thing). Does the USB drives need to be enabled and if so, where do I enable it?

Thanks,

Have you got the USB stick formatted with the correct file system (FAT32)?

Also try booting the system with the USB inserted and see if it recognises it then

Yes it is Formatted as Fat32. I'll try the reboot with it in.

Thanks,

Does a back up to your pc work? If not u may have a HD issue.

Which USB port are you plugging it into? Top one is for APC UPS only. Bottom one is for storage.

I've found that some brands just won't work with Linux, especially those cheap drives given away as advertising or promotional items. I've always had good luck with Kingston.
