BCM 400_4.0 Voicemail No Beep?

Has anyone experienced a no beep problem after someone records a message and then there is no beep to let the outside caller know its time to speak? We have rebooted this system and works for awhile and then the beep goes away. ? :>)~

Callpilot will tell the caller to speak up and that is when we noticed that the user wasn't getting a beep at the end of there recorded message>....?

We are using IP 2004 sets and a few T7316E sets....

Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated....

How about internal calls to voicemail? Do you hear the beep then on the same mailbox where you get no beep on the external call? Do all mailboxes act the same way? If you don't get the beep, have you tried creating a new mailbox to try?

What type of trunks are being used?

Internal calls to vm get a beep through Feature 980 + Ext., It is only on the external call that you do not hear a beep? Yes, have tried creating a new mailbox.....these lines being used are loop lines come off of a 66 block into a GATM8 module.....

It does not matter if it is IP phones or T7316E telephones? It happens to both sets, just tried it on both digital and IP sets, get the same thing...no beep....

Do a backup of the system, then do level 2 reset. Test voicemail to see if the problem still exist. You might just have to reinstall voicemail. Good luck.
 

He can't do a level 2 reset on a Bcm400 but he could backup the VM only, do a re-install of the Call Pilot and then restore the VM backup.
 
Have you set the Line Tuning digit? Possible issue with GATM.

have not tried Line Tuning digit.....Need to go find out where this is....probably right in front of the eyes...
