Hi guys, I am a long time Norstar tech but I have just begun to work on the BCM. I have a BCM 400 3.6 s/w & 32 mailboxes. I removed the system from service a while ago and I am trying to set it up in my shop. I did a "startup" on it and all seamed well. It has a 32 DSI card two GATM 8 cards and an ASM card. They all seem to work OK except the ASM card. I have gone into maintenance and changed all cards to ASM but it still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong, I'm not even sure what ports they are.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure, what is a bus position? It worked when I took it out.

The buses are pretty much the same as the ports on a 6-port expansion in a MICS. Buses 1 & 8 are reserved for data, so you have 2 - 7 to play with. If the dipswitches were not changed then everything should still work as before. Login to telset programming, scroll to "Hardware" and see which modules are assigned to buses (ports) 2 - 7. On a BCM lower than R4.0 your bus positions are determined by the dipswitch settings, not the slot the module is plugged into.
