This customer has encountered a problem with his previous phone systems on external call forwarding. The BCM400 will have a PRI circuit. If using Line Redirection, so that an incoming DID call is forwarded to an external phone number, will the CLID # of the originating caller be carried with the forwarded call, or is there a way to send the OLI# for the redirected station along with the forwarded call?

Logic says that the CLID # of the originating caller will be sent, as Line Redirection is telling the system to induce an Unsupervised Conference between two channels of the PRI, and is not really being done at the station level.

I believe you logic is correct.
However, you don't have to use line redirection.
You can just use regular old call forward (Feature 4).
Just follow these rules.
1) Enable redirect in the set capabilities
2) Use a des code and route
3) Include the des code in the external number dial string.

When using VoIP trunks, you do have the ability to forward the set OLI, but I can't remember seeing a field that allows this on a PRI trunk.

To answer part of your original question...

If you use Call Forward or Line Redirection, the original callers CLID will always forward with the call, and if you are using a FLEX type PRI then the call will be rejected as the originating CLID does not match the data in the flex product. Sounds odd, but have worked with this in detail and even requested Nortel put in the ability to use the originating CLID or use the OLI of the forwarding station. But nothing as of yet.

One way around this (and I know this isn't what you're requesting) is to use the outbound transfer option within the users voicemail. Because once the call is answered (by voicemail in this case), then it will use the trunk group CLID (Telco programmed) or the OLI of the VM DN.

Hope this helps...
