BCM 400 voice mail pots???

I received a call that people calling into the contact center are getting busy's. I had someone look at the BCM monitor and he noticed only 6 voice ports.
anyone know what a BCM 400 comes with as far as ports. I don't recall seeing this info .

Well if all 6 voice ports are busy that won't give you a busy, but the call defintely wont route to the skillset. How many skillsets are you using? If you change to a 3/5 split, that will increase the number of voice ports available

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.
 
I haven't worked on a BCM since July, but I seem to remember we set all our BCM's for 8 PORTS and every one of our BCM's were set 2/6 Split. I think it just depends how much of your resources you want to use and the number and type of the PEC cards on the MSC.

They are using 4 skillsets. I have installed a few 400's and I don't seem to remember any Auth codes stating voice ports on any installs only voice mail seats.But it's been a few months.

It's a 2/6 split
with about 100 users

also a small contact center with 3 agents
only the contact center has complained about patients getting busy's.

no complaints about checking vmail etc.

Are all agents the same skill set? It may be there are no agents with that skill set available.

You can change voice ports at will, with a big Contact Center, I'd have at least 16. You do need to do a reboot after making the change.

4 What is the maximum number of Voicemail ports required? Voicemail ports are used for
voicemail and call center.
The range is 0 to 32 ports.
For each voicemail port:
• add 1 to the signaling channel count
• add 1 to the media channel count
5 What is the number of Voicemail ports required during peak periods?
The range is 0 to the maximum number of ports selected in question 4.
For each voicemail port
• add 1 to the voice bus path count
• add 1 to the DSP resource unit count
