hi all , I've got a bcm 400 sitting on a lan , the ip is 192.168.9.25....i need to do some port natting on the modem
to have an IP phone on the net register and work on that bcm...I'm thinking forward ports 7000, 28000-28500 and 52000-55000 to 192.168.9.25 ....anything else ?

please help

Nortel strongly suggest to use VPN's for non-local IP sets, otherwise you could assign a Public Ip adress to your Lan2 but it's not too secure...

will tghe ip sets register via the two lan ports or one?

i've got Ip sets registering on the lan

The sets will register across the public network but without the tunnel you wont have stable audio. The phone will look good and ring right, but no talkie talkie. :(
