If u have a BCM 400 and r using EM then it's Rls 4. Rls 5 & 6 requires a h/w change which converts the 400 to a 450. 3.x systems use unified mgr.

Can you even ping the IP address of the BCM?
Can you access i.e. the IP address of the BCM? If you can, then you'll be able to pull the logs, if you don't already have them. use winrar to extract systeminformation.tar.gz. You'll be able to locate file similar to software history, which will include the version (sorry I dont have 4.0 logs to hand).
If you can do neither, then I agree it's probably a HDD problem. If you can do both, then might be an RPM database corruption on the BCM - search knowledge base for further details. Nortel released a patch to strengthen/avoid RPM problems, so if you did not have the patch applied, you might just have the RPM problem...it depends on the error you receive. Also try a different version of BEM, and ensure it's not just a cartridge problem.

thanks pkellow
I had already found the file..
this is the path: systemInformation.tar.gz\.\var\nn\mfgonly
I was interested to know what software version it has to load the correct image version without loss telephony programming.

Saludos..

Did you consider rpm db problem as per previous comment?
I don't know for sure, however as there are limited 4.0 images available, I'd say you probably don't have a choice to restore 4.0 bit tool or raise a case with avaya for further advice.

There is DB corruption, because I can´t access by EM
I can ping and I can access with Monitor and via Browser to see BCM applications and documents.
The questions are:
Can I load imagen 4.02.03a to this BCM 4.0 with build 2.01?
is not there hardware problems?

Saludos..
