My customer has 60-70 people who would be using the unified messaging , but the IT Dept does not want the exchange server to store these messages. any suggestions ? and is this integration very tough?

The Exchange server doesn't store the messages. The integration is done at the desktop. You'll have a separate message store appear in Outlook that shows you the voicemails in your mailbox. If you shut the Exchange server down the BCM doesn't know, shut the BCM down and the Exchange server doesn't know.

All that's needed is load the client on the PC, enter the name/IP of the BCM, mailbox number, and you're done.
