BCM 400...Strange

OK I have a customer with a BCM 400 R4.0 that was upgraded from 3.6 last year. BFT and hard drive were both replaced already. When the receptionist makes a call, the call is broadcast over another phone somewhere else in the office. They have multiple phones that are doing the same thing. Anyone ever hear of this?

Does it happen between specific phones - Try changing the DSMs

Shut the BCM down completely thru element mgr. Pull the power cord, count to 20 then power it back up. Wait about 15 minutes
for the system to completely reboot that should clear the problem

The Recpt makes a call and it is broadcast over the speakers of other phones in the office?

is she making an outgoing call or an internal call?

It was calls in either direction. I tried rebooting the system with no help. I got Nortel involved. They stated that it was a corruption in the RCC software that they had to correct.
