BCM 400 rel 4.0 dialing to remote sites via IP trunking

Guys I have a BCM 400 and 3 BCM 50s all networked for 4 digit dial between sites. 2 Days ago my customer said they could not call the site via ip trunking where the dns are 4000 but could call all others sites. After a little resesch I found that out of about 100 sets the only ones having this issue are the 2 1140e all others are digital sets and can dial everyone. So in closing I call call the 4000 site get the auto attendant and dial 2221 and it works fine I repeat and dial 2240 the ip set it rings and cconnects and then the call drops. from the ip set I can call all sites 3s 5s but not the 4s but can pick up a ditial set at the same site and can reach all sites. This has worked great for 2 years with no problems. Not sure please help Thanks in advance. Steve
 
Check the mask and gateway on your 1140 phones. They may be in a different subnet from the BCM and routing not set up properly between the subnets. bUse BCM Monitor to troubleshoot to see if you're hitting the VoIP trunks.
 
I have watched the call from the IP set call to a ditial set at site A access the VoIP trunks via BCM monitor and the call connects but there is no voice transmission either way. I can turn around a watch the same IP set dial a ditial set at site C and they connect and converse just fine I have discussed with local techs and we feel it may be a network issue but still open to any help in this matter STILL BROKE!!!

Try checking that the payload sizes for your codecs match for both the trunk side and the set side. Some carriers need them to match. Those that do require it usually need it set to 20ms and the bcm defaults them (711 and 729 anyway) to 30ms.
