Hello all!

I have a BCM 400 4.0 installed, with approx 10 digital sets, and 20 IP on a PRI,

At least once a week, this switch seems to go down, the main reception console (T7316) starts to flash, and comes back with an error.
alarms I see are 41,42,367,44,75
The telco did a remote test and they are saying it is a switch problem and thier PRI is fine.
any recomendations or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Is the system fully patched?

What do the alarm logs say?

What LEDs on the card are lit when the cct drops?

Dasheen,

Yes I have all the uptto date patches done, and the alarms are 41,42,367,44,75, and there is only one led on PRI card, bottom left.

All those alarms are associated with the Telco network not being seen by the BCM..

Check your cable leaving the PRI card to the NTE1
CHange it.it could be faulty.
Check your PRI card.

Check your Telco NTE box to see if the LEDs ALARMS show wether its your side or there side for lost of cct signaling.

You may have an issue, but 9/10 times the telco will tell you it is not their issue even when it eventually turns out to be them, or your equipment magically starts working correctly even though they had no problems. I just wouldn't take them for their word.
