Hello all,

I have a new customer with a norstar and callcenter. The client is going to be upgrading to a BCM400. Currently they recieve a popup on there screen that shows caller info. My question is does anybody have this set up on a BCM. I not sure exactly what info pops up, they just said they get pop up info. What does the BCM 400 offer when it comes to the popup on the PC.

You need LAN CTE to do this. You'll need one seat of LAN CTE for each PC that needs to have the screenpops enabled. Once the phone is associated to the PC, you typically get popups based on the caller ID of the inbound call. You may need some type of middleware on the PC to do this, but if it's working today, that's probably already there.

ok thats what I was thinking. I have a meet tommorow so I will go from there.

Thanks

anybody hear of RSIrepor or RSI reports? Something like that.

Tim

Rapport for TAPI by RSI? That's the middleware that goes between the LAN CTE agent and the application you're "popping" the data from. Works good, but kinda pricey - somewhere around $80-90 a seat.

Hey biv,

Have you set this up before>? Does the Rapport just work with Tapi 2.1 that comes with the BCM?

Thanks again for the help.

Tim

Yup. It's been a while, but you load the LAN CTE client on the PC, go through all the setup procedures to register the PC to the BCM, program the LAN CTE parameters on the BCM, then go from there. Easy way to test if your TAPI is working on the PC is to use the phone dialer app that comes with Windows, choose your DN as the outbound line, and see if you can make your phone dial. Once that's done, the Rapport stuff kind of falls into place.
