Hi:

We have a BCM 400 rel 4.02.03a running Call Center environment.
We have problems with RCC, the BCM stop sending XML to third party application.
When this happened, the agents are logoff so we have to do is stop CCRSappserver Service or shutdown BCM.
We have thinking re-imaging the BCM to solve the problem..
The question is...
If we load the last patches (SU.SYSTEM 28 and SU.desktop 17) is this enough or do we need load the each of the previuos patches..

Load the system patch first and it's usually a 2 part patch. Each part will require a system reboot.

The Desktop patch won't require a reboot. I find that most problems are when the RCC has "Windows" updates turned on!.

I'd apply the latest updates first and reinstall the RCC software from scratch. This sorts out the majority of faults.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Those are the latest patches for the 400. Normally that's all you have to do but make sure you read the ReadMe file and adhere to any prerequisites. I don't know what patch level you are at right now but these updates may require you to be at a minimal level before proceeding.

Before you apply them, you will have to remove the RCC software from the customer's PC (just the RCC client, not the SQL stuff), then when you are back up, load the new RCC client back onto the PC.

Needless to say, make sure you do a full backup before starting any of this stff too.

Good Luck.

We have BIT Image:

BCM 4.0 BIT Build 2.03d release

This release consists of the following ISO image files:
BCM_40_203d_1.iso
BCM_40_203d_2.iso
BCM_40_203d_3.iso

This BCM software BIT release is BCM 4.0 BIT Build 2.03d
It is equivalent to BCM 4.0 Build 2.03a plus BCM.R400.033-SMG and BCM.R400.116-SCD

The BCM 4.0 BIT Build 2.03d is intended to re-image a valid BCM 4.0 software release system to BCM 4.0 Build 2.03d

Valid BCM software releases are:

* BCM 4.0 (Build 2.03a)
* BCM 4.0 (Build 2.03d)
* BCM 4.0 (Build 2.21d)

so, I don´t know what patch it have

With which patch ( SYSTEM AND DESKTOP)could begin to load

The BIT image is used to rebuild a BCM. Just like re installing Windows!. Patching is to enchanced and improve system performance etc.

I think you just need the latter!.

If you don't even know how to check a 400 for what patches are installed, I reccommend you contact an authorized vendor to come in and do it for you.

But if you must do it yourself, go to the Administration tab on the left hand panel, open up the Software Management link at open the Software Update History. There it will show you what patches have been installed and when.

Perhaps I am not explaining well...
We have BCM 400 rel 4.02.03, (we suspect possible software corruption)and we want to take to 4.02.03d with BIT.(we don´t have 4.02.03 Image CD´s)
If I load the last patches(SU.System 28 and Desktop 17)the BCM will be full actualized...mean that they are Acumulative patches...or I need load SU.System 22, 23...until 28, and SU.Desktop 14,...until 17

Just go ahead and apply the latest patches. It contains all the updates from all previous patches. It will only apply what it needs but you HAVE TO look at the readme file to make sure you adhere to the prerequisites. You do the SU first, then the Desktop.

If you don't even know this much, you shouldn't even be touching that thing!

thanks telcodog
I had always had this doubt
No problem about to know how to do
I made some BCM re-imagining.
