Ok what if the patch has been installed, is there a way to remove it? The reason I ask is because in the bulletin it says
"Alternatively the system can be reverted to BCM.R400.SU.System.029.
Not unless you count reformatting the hard drive, re-installing the system 29 patch and restoring your backups.
If the system is working fine and you are not experiencing the problems you could choose to keep the newer version that was pulled until they re-release them with the fixes (if it ever happens) or you have to reformat and recover the drive for some other reason.
I was afraid of that, thanks
The problem they are seeing is they can not use F986 since they installed this patch. I know the bulletin did not say anything other than the CC problem but F986 did work up until the patch was installed.
I'm sorry to say that you will need to do a full backup, then put in a new hard disk with keycode, system 029 and desktop 019.
If your BCM only uses PRI as ISDN 30 trunks, then it's OK to use up to System 031. I found that some of my sites in the UK are still on DASS ISDN trunks and it caused major problems which were supposed to have been fixed at 032, which they did. Trouble was that System 032 created other new bugs that were nasty and should have been properly tested first before releasing it to us.
Anyway, BCM 400 support has ended, so little chance of it getting fixed and anyway, I no longer trust Avaya anymore on their BCM patches.
All the best
