Bcm 400 (3.6) took a lightning hit and lost Call Pilot. All phone system features are working,Can't access system through Lan 1 or 2..get message that it's wrong IP address even though it's correct.
"Feature Inactive" displays when pressing any F9xx codes.
Tried reboot, reseated all cards.Did the Xftest thing.
Any ideas what to try next?
Thanks

Your 3.6 system is the "old" Windows NT software and was prone to thing kind of problem. Best to power off for a good 5 minutes and then power on again. Hopefully you will be able to ping the address of the BCM again.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

No the lights are flashing...all phone system features are working. Could not ping the IP address.

Shut it down, disconnect the power, open up the case and disconnect the power from the HD, knock 3 times and put it back together, if then you can not access or ping the ip address and or the lights never stop flashing it means the HD is bad and needs to be replaced.

I did open box and look at connections and such ,but didn't disconnect or "knock 3 times".
I'll try to get back and do that...is this a replaceable part for a system of that vintage?

Yes, you can get a factory imaged 3.6 HD, you eill have to re program the VM and re define any IP parameters but unless you have a current backup.

Thanks for the info.....I'll have to have another look.
