I have a customer and BCM 400 3.7 and hard drive crashed. The only way I could get them up was to replace drive with the only spare I had and it was a 4.0. I forgot that I cannot reload keycodes and I am in a severe bind. I need to get them back up and I cannot get a hold of my distributer till monday. Can anyone help in getting them converted?

Did you get this addressed? Re-image hard drive to 3.7, then sync up MSC and hard drive. Finally, reload key codes.

Agreed, reimage the Hard drive to BCM 3.7, logon via putty and make sure the telephony profile is initialised, or at least logon through Unified Manager, apply patches that match that of the old system, reload keycode, restore from backup if you have one.

Can I go back to 3.7 once it has been 4.0?
I thought I read some where that you can't go back down.

You can go back. You need to re-image the hard drive using the Nortel Imaging Tool, then load the Nortel 3.7 disks 1-3. Make sure, when you log into the BCM via putty that you change the date to prior to 2000, I use 1999.
