I just got a BCM 400 and we have two employees that are out of state. I want to send them two phones that they can just plug into their home internet and it connect to our bcm. I've been reading all through the documentation but really can't find info on port forward and recommended network setup for the bcm. What I have found is that it suggest seperate subnet and setting up vlans. I'd like to have it on the same subnet as my existing network and open up the proper ports for those phones and setup mac address filtering so they don't have to use VPN. Also is there a way to setup the phones so they could be used on the LAN and then if needed connect to the WAN? I didn't see how you could put and dns name for the server address? Is this possible without changing the phone each time? Suggestions please. Thanks
