Very new to IP side of BCM. Learning as I go.

Customer wants to know how & if he can use his softphone from home if he connects to the office via VPN?

Also wants to know if he can use it in any wireless hotspot, hoping port 7000 isn't blocked by whoever is providing the wireless?

All IP sets (wlan sets; no i200x) are on BCM LAN 2, customer network is on LAN 1.

Customer has IT background and is asking a lot of questions I can't answer.

Set your VOIP published IP address to LAN 2 - it defaults to LAN 1. That should fix the problem for you.

I already have set Lan 2 as the published IP. I also put softphone on my PC and connected directly to customer's network and it worked.

Customer wants to use it from home or in any wireless hot spot (ie Starbucks, etc)away from office. He wants to know it's possible before loading s/w on PC.
