I have a BCM 400 4.0. A user has external call forwarding set up. His desk phone is forwarded to his cell phone. The forwarding works if his extension is dialed from another extension or a call comes into the receptionist and she transfers it to his extension. If the call come into their back door auto attendant line and the caller enters his extension, the caller hears one moment please and then is disconnected. Anyone run into this?

This is on a PRI. There is an Adtran 908e in between the smart jack and the BCM. I can see the system grab a line and try to send out the forwarded number correctly after the AA answers the call and I enter the forwarded extension number. So it looks like the Adtran doesn't like what it is seeing when the call is transfered from the Call Pilot. When I watch a call transferred by the receptionist to the forwarded phone, the system grabs a line, sends out the forwarded number and the call completes no problem. I checked the link morenot sent and it is similar but the send name is already unchecked on this system. Not sure what is getting sent out differently on a transfer from the voicemail. Think maybe the voicemail isn't seeing a disconnect from the Adtran?

Your problem is probably that the provider is receiving the ORIGINATING caller ID and rejecting the call. When you try it from inside then they see your ID so they let the call go through. But if someone calls from outside and no one on the system answers the call and Transfers then the provider will see the ID of the person originating the call. They see it as not your number and will block the call.

Send Name Display was already unchecked. Also, it said in the thread that they could dial the extension from AA and the call would transfer okay.

The customer is opening a ticket with their carrier to see if we can make some test calls and have them monitor the adtran to see what they are getting from us. If they are getting the originating caller ID then it isn't going to work unless they can let all numbers pass through the adtran.
