Hey all,
I have a bcm 400 version 4.0.2.03a. It has only been installed a little over a month. Yesterday they called me and said that some of their sets have a good talk no receive condition. Well I finally was able to duplicate it today on the main reception set. You can access intercom but hear no dial tone either on handset or speaker but you can dial and it will ring another extension. That extension can hear you talking but you hear nothing. This was in intermittant problem on another set yesterday. When I checked the alarms I had 1 critical alarm 247 Logevent and quite a few 327 Core telephony Slip Overflow short term. I am not really familiar with these alarms but is that something that could cause the condition that I'm seeing? And if so, what is the resolution? Thanks for your help.
Doug

Are you running IP sets or Digital or both? I've come across this before.

The error 247 has to do with one of your DSM's. 327 has to do with the DTM's. Check the cabling for both and phones connected to the DSM.

With my 4.0.2.03a machine a quick fix, is to just shut system down. After waiting 5 minutes to shut down completely, power cycle it. On my system this was the start of greater problems, which were only fixed by pulling the hard drive and repairing broken directories.

I'm running only digital sets. And as of today, I have quite a few 326 alarms also Slip overflow, but no critical alarms. In addition, the set that they originally had trouble with had the same problem again today but it cleared on it's own. And the main reception phone that I could not restore yesterday had cleared itself overnight. I think I will perform a current back up and then do a shutdown. Any insight would be appreciated.
