hello,

i have BCM 400 rls 4.0 with 4 mbm's,

1 dsm 32
1 dti module
2 8x16 module

i have set the dsm 32 to bus 2
dti to bus 7

one 8x16 to bus 3 offset 0
second 8x16 to bus 3 offset 2

im getting the 16 lines

the problem is that on each of the 8x16 module the extensions start with the same dn , 296,

please help

Remember...the 8x16 uses two buses...one for trunks and one for stns. The 8x16 takes the next bus after the trunk bus. If u set the 8x16 to use bus 3, it will use bus 3 for trunks and 4 for stns.

yes,

first 8x16 is on bus 3 offset 0
bus 3 for 8 trunk lines and it takes bus 4 for extensions

second 8x16 is on bus 3 offset 2
so it takes bus 3 offset 2 and 3 for trunk lines
and bus 4 for extensions,

the problem im having is that both the 8x16 get the same extension number,

what could be the problem ,

As Dasheen says use a different BUS.....

Put it on BUS 5 offset 0. that way you will use bus 5 for trunks and bus 6 for extns.

Remember only trunks can share the same bus,in your case all your trunks are using the same bus(bus 3 offset 0 and 2 for a total of 16 trunks)but the extensions are trying to use the same ressources on bus 4 which they can't.
In your case set your first 8x16 on bus 3 and the second on bus 5.If you need to add more trunks you can always use bus 3 and 5 on offset 2.
