I have a customer with a newly installed BCM 400 / 4.0. The customer attached a SMDR6 from their old MICS system. After 2 system crashes, with what appears to be a corrupt hard drive, could the SMDR6 be the cause.

From what I researched, the SMDR6 is not compatable with the BCM.

Thanks for any input!!

SMDR6 is not compatible with any bcm.You better use the CDR client or push the cdr files to an FTP server.

Thanks gberger!! Have you ever heard where this could corrupt the HD and crash the system.....crashes seemed to occur around the time the customer had it set up to dump call records.

Never heard of corruption created by that but if that Bcm has been upgraded to 4.0 maybe the hard drive is 5 to 6 years old and that's about the time they last.
