Hi all, We have a BCM 400 with try and by Fax Messaging enabled.
With the help of this forum we have the inbound and outbound from desktop working.
Now we woul like a FAX cover page with Company name and LOGO.
i have followed the steps that in the instructions and spinning my wheels nowhere.
I am using the imageMaker (ship32.exe) to open a copy of the cover.tif and edit.
Then save as a covernew.tif and covernew.cvr. When sending a FAX the logo does not appear and the To and From does not fill in when i modify.
In addition, when i upload the default cover page in the Call Pilot manager, how do i know it iploaded?
Thank you in advance.
Duane

you need to make a .cvr file also, this maps the fields like to and from to the correct spots on your .tiff. I usually open the cvr file that is with the default cover page, then copy the boxes to my cover page, its easy, you just copy and past them. you use the same ship32.exe software.
I have never uploaded one, I just put them on a drive that everyone can acess and you can brows to it from the nortel fax print driver. I have lots of departments useng the same callpilot, so I cant use a default cover page.

I will try your suggestion, Wahat program are you opening the default .tiff to edit the original?

I do it kind of crude. I make the cover page in word, then I use nortel fax print driver like I am faxing it to someone, but instead of faxing it I save it. Then I open it with that ship32 from the image maker and use the eraser to take the date and time stamp off the tiff image and re save it. I have tried other tiff editors, but can never get the right format, when I try and fax using them I get an error saying wrong type of file, or something along those lines.

BombOne, You have been very helpful and I really appreciate all the responses from everyone. Your suggestion is clear and works. It even filled in the To and From like it is suppose to.
Another question, how can the users keep a contact list for frequent faxing? Purchasing sends bids out to a list. Does the user maintain or do I create in the system for global. Thanks

BombOne, Do you now if there is a way to capture a thumbnail of the sent fax images to a file? How about integrating with contacts or other PIM. DDE or Macros?
Thanks
