BCM 400/BCM450 and IP terminals

I have a coworker (about 600 miles away) that has a customer with a BCM450. They are attempting to get a 1230 IP phone working on the system, within the same network, so far without success.

I haven't any experience with the 450 but I have a BCM400 4.0 here in the lab and my BCM400 doesn't have the firmware for the 1230 terminal, though it does for the 1140. Will the 450 talk to the 1230, and does the 450 still use port 7000?

you need to patch the 450 up to allow the firmware to download.

This is a known issue with 1230 phones firmware shipped in the phone
