Hello, We have a new BCM 400 installed. For some reason, I could not connect using the I2050 phone from home but it works in the office on the LAN.

I narrowed it down to the BCM not being ably to PING my default gateway or past it. My firewall is a watchguard 1000 and it is denying the BCM commands and is labelling it as spoofed. OUt bound pings et all are wide open and work fine from all of my servers but the BCM. I am thinking there is something wrong with the BCM's networking since it is the only server that has this issue.

has anyone else experienced this?

I will call my BCM support from Bell Canada if I cannot figure it out with your help.

IP and default gateway appear fine.
Thanks
Matt

I have never had a problem with the BCM, but I have had problems with the company firewall.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

If you disable your firewall & can launch an I.P. phone than
you can call your firewall support rather than Bell.
Sure doesn't sound like a BCM problem.

Sorry, just remembered this post and will update it.

On my Watchguard firewall I had 2 MUVPN settings. One of the MUVPNs that was used for testing and is not live was assigned a block of IP's that included the IP's of the BCMs. I deleted the MUVPN setting for that range and it works fine now.
