Anyone experience a system resetting the DNs from say 4000 - xxxx to default 2221 - xxxx? Had a system do that but all other programming was ok. I.E. names, button programming, etc.

Yes, I had one do it 3 times in the summer. I had to renumber everything each time but it never happened again after that third time so I have no idea what the fix would have been. I do know that it was patched current at the time.

Post the solution if you ever figure it out though. That was a weird one.

It happened to me also, and it was a bad MBM. It only happened after a hard reboot. Replaced GATM, and it never happened again. Might have been a dipswitch issue, instead of a bad card?

i have never experienced this but this is good for future reference. what kind of phone did you use? digital, analog, ip? a bad GATM caused caused extensions to renumber?

thanks

I recently changed DN length from a working 3 digit numbering plan to 4 digits. Lost programming in several wierd places:
1) random sets CFNA was erased
2) IPTrunk destination digits moved from one gateway to another
3) Random set names lost letters
4) Routing Absorb length failed to strip digits on random entries

Reboot seems to have fixed digit absorbtion, but I don't know where the other data went?

My site was a BCM 400 4.0 w/ digital sets & a GATM.

All programming was there, except DN's renumbered to default, instead of matching DIDs. Was a high rent country club, so allot of TDM, Analog, and IP telephones.
